Research Opportunities

Residents are strongly encouraged to pursue “practice-based” research interests in family medicine. Whether creating an individual project, participating in an ongoing research program or developing a case study, the residents are encouraged and supported in their efforts with proper research assistance. With state-of-the-art electronic medical records, we are able to track a vast amount of data for both research and quality of care indicators. Currently we are concentrating on diabetes care through Practice Partner Research Network (PPRN) and continue to surpass national averages in our quality. Consultation is available in research design, data collection, statistical analysis and interpretation. Periodic journal clubs provide the skills required to keep abreast of the rapid changes in family medicine
