Jared Adams, MD

Jared has lived all around the Midwest, but most recently is from Oklahoma, where he did his undergraduate and medical training. During his spare time he says he likes to sleep, or think about sleep, or maybe plan when he can sleep next. But he stays awake during noon conferences. While he is busy with all that, his wife Kari entertains their two labs, Bailey and Hudson.
Derek Brickner, MD

Derek Brickner, MD

Derek has a Zoology degree from North Dakota State, and an M.D. from the University Of North Dakota School Of Medicine. Until now he has never lived outside the great state of North Dakota. In the period of one month he finished med school, got married to Justine, and moved to sunny Nebraska to start residency. Derek enjoys hunting, outdoor activities and all sports. 
Tyler Dubs, MD

Tyler Dubs, MD

Tyler is originally from Scottsbluff, NE. He has a degree in biochemistry from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale Tennessee. He and his wife Brenda along with daughter Sophie moved back to Nebraska after he completed medical school at Loma Linda, CA.
Morgan Merrill, MD

Morgan Merrill, MD

Morgan went to Idaho State for undergrad and UNMC medical school. He chose to move to Lincoln for the advantage of training in a truly unopposed program away from the university setting. He and his wife Kathryn are both triathletes. Morgan plays guitar and records his original compositions.
Daniel Schneider, MD

Daniel Schneider, MD

Dan is a Lincoln boy with a medical degree from UNMC. Prior to that he earned a bachelor’s in Biology from Doane College in Crete, NE where he played football.   He remains a big football fan as well as an excellent team player for LMEP. He also enjoys watching his wife Natalie’s basketball team.
Rachel Schutte, DO

Rachel Schutte, DO

Dr. Schutte went to Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA prior to med school at Des Moines University. She grew up on a farm with 5½ siblings. She likes basketball and well, really all sports, cool coffee shops, and painting. If you ask her to show you her paintings, maybe she’ll drive you by a few. 
Amber Sturzenegger, DO

Amber Sturzenegger, DO

Amber is a native of Ashland, NE that arrived in Lincoln two years ago to be closer to family and friends. Her 3 year old son is the number one priority in her life. She looks forward to coming home nightly to see him. He believes her daily job is to “take care of sick babies.” Together they travel around the United States, with their last trip being to Tennessee to see the Smoky Mountains.

She loved the program at LMEP when she rotated here in 2007. Her love is Family medicine where she gets to practice a broad scope of patient care, but most of all, spend her time chatting with her patients. She has received the nickname “Foofy”, for her tasteful fashion of backcombing her hair. She may have been the inspiration for the ever popular, Bump It.
In her spare time, you will find her running to train for her next race or at the closest Caribou Coffee drinking a dark chocolate mocha. Most likely her fellow resident, Rachel Schutte,will also be partaking.
