Mansoor Ahmad, MD

Dr. Mansoor Ahmad grew up in Hamilton, Ontario which is known as the birthplace of Tim Horton’s Coffee, Canada’s counterpart to Starbucks. He attended McMaster University followed by the Windsor University School of Medicine. He loves to travel and hopes to someday see all of the Seven Wonders of the World. His hobbies include Cricket, Basketball, and watching movies. Dr. Ahmad chose the Lincoln Family Medicine Program because he believes it gives him autonomy within a family friendly environment.

Mackenzie Hemje, MD

Dr. Mackenzie Hemje attended Hastings College where he earned his Biology degree and then went on to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center . He grew up in Hastings, NE – known as the birthplace of Kool-Aid – where he fostered interests in bow hunting, fishing, and golfing. He thinks the smartest thing he has ever done was to get married before he went bald. Dr. Hemje is an avid Husker football fan and states if he was not a physician, he would become a football coach.  He chose the Lincoln Family Medicine Program as he saw that there were “great people across the board.” Taking care of pediatric patients is his favorite aspect of family medicine, and he hopes to stay in Nebraska to practice when finished with his residency.

Doug Bauer, DO

Dr. Doug Bauer graduated medical school from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He grew up in Malcolm, NE and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Bauer would describe himself as “quirky” and proves it by stating the one thing he could not live without is ice cream every night. He says his greatest accomplishment so far in life is being happy, and he attributes a lot of that to his wife, Jackie. He really enjoys family medicine for the variety it brings, especially the array of procedures that can be performed. Working in the emergency room is Dr. Bauer’s favorite area of family medicine, and upon graduation he hopes to practice in a location where he can use those skills.

Anna Dalrymple, MD

Dr. Anna Dalrymple came down the interstate to Lincoln from Omaha, where she attended Creighton University for undergraduate training and later went to medical school at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. While on a rotation in western Nebraska, she met her husband Matt, a farmer from Gothenburg. Dr. Dalrymple's hobbies include yoga, biking, and cooking – someday she even hopes to incorporate yoga into her practice. Her favorite aspect of family medicine is obstetrics as she says “delivering babies is unlike anything else we have the privilege to do.” She hopes to practice rural medicine somewhere in central Nebraska upon graduation from residency.

Eli Burks, MD

Dr. Eli Burks grew up in Columbia, MO and attended the University of Missouri where he majored in Medicinal Chemistry. While in college he also participated in many activities and was named the University of Missouri 2010 rec sports “Male Player of the Year.” He is an avid weight lifter and states one thing on his “bucket list” is to attain a professional strongman card. Dr. Burks earned his M.D. at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences on the island of St. Kitts. He hopes to impact his patients’ lives in a positive way and provide the highest level of care available. He ranked the Lincoln Family Medicine Program for its approachable staff, excellent faculty, and friendly, enthusiastic residents.

Adam Rasmussen, MD

Dr. Adam Rasmussen grew up in Mead, NE where he worked on the family farm. He attended college at Chadron State and went to medical school in Omaha. If he wasn’t a physician he would have chosen to be a teacher, and he says that his favorite thing to do on a day off is to work in his garden.  He believes marrying his wife, Sarah, is the smartest thing he’s ever done, and climbing a water tower was the craziest thing he’s ever done. In residency he is looking forward the most to his Emergency Medicine rotations as he will need those skills often in a rural community, which is where he hopes to practice upon graduation.

Janae Dudgeon, MD

Dr. Janae Dudgeon claims the hometown of Fremont, NE – just a short drive from Lincoln. She earned her biology degree at Wayne State College and then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she earned her M.D. Some of her hobbies include running, travelling, and pretty much any outdoor activity. She really enjoys the many trails and outdoor activities that Lincoln has to offer as well as the community feel the city provides. Dr. Dudgeon is excited about family medicine as it gives the opportunity to take care of many different patient populations, across all ages. She hopes to someday practice within a short drive of Omaha or Lincoln.

Elizabeth Wooster, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Wooster hails from Lancaster, CA and somehow ended up doing her undergraduate training at Concordia University in Seward, NE. She then attended the Creighton University School of Medicine where she maintained her love for Iowa Hawkeye Football. She loves music and is brave enough to admit that her favorite band is ‘N Sync. In addition, Dr. Wooster can play the flute, piano, organ, and handbells. One of her favorite aspects of family medicine is obstetrics; she states, “It is such an honor and privilege as well as an amazing thought that I am the first person to ever hold another human when they enter the world.”
