Ridhima Bijlani, M.D.

Dr. Ridhima Bijlani is from Toronto Canada. She attended York University and Windsor University School of Medicine. Dr. Bijlani is known for her positivity and diligence and her favorite saying is “Never give up. The best things in life take time”. She wanted to be a pilot when she grew up and, in fact, plans to eventually earn her private pilot’s license. When she has free time she likes hiking, yoga, photography, and trying new and interesting cuisines. Dr. Bijlani’s favorite area of Family Medicine is Pediatrics and she likes to help keep children happy and healthy from the start.


Ahsan Iftikhar, M.D.

Dr. Ahsan Iftikhar was born, and raised in Albany, New York. He attained a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and earned his medical degree at Windsor University School of Medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Iftikhar enjoys filmmaking, and listening to Frank Sinatra as well as classical Pakistani music. He has a passion for tutoring, and coaching aspiring physicians. One of his favorite sayings is: “If you believe in yourself, take massive action toward your goals, and dream big – anything is possible. He believes in a humanistic, and preventative approach to medicine, and values being able to treat patients of all ages. His choice to be a Family Medicine physician was an easy one.

Brendan Brodersen, D.O.

Dr. Brendan Brodersen was born and raised in O’Neill, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s in Nutrition Science. He attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. His hobbies include reading, playing sports, and watching Husker athletics. One reason Dr. Brodersen chose Lincoln Family Medicine Program is because he and his wife enjoy the friendly community of Lincoln. He loves Family Medicine because of the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients of all ages.


Sion Kim, M.D.

Dr. Sion Kim is a South Korean native who grew up in Mission, Texas. Dr. Kim attended Harvard University for her undergraduate degree in Human Evolutionary Biology. She completed her medical training at the University of Texas at Houston - McGovern Medical School, which has the largest medical center in the world! When asked why she wanted to become a doctor, she said, “I found my niche serving as a health advocate for my immigrant parents maneuvering through the healthcare system”.  She strongly enjoys the preventative aspect of Family Medicine. Dr. Kim and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters. Her hobbies include reading, writing, playing piano and clarinet, hiking, snorkeling, and salsa dancing. 

Laura Ellson, M.D.

Dr. Laura Ellson hails from Center Point, IA. She attended Iowa State University and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish and her masters degree from Walden University in Healthcare Administration. Dr. Ellson received her medical training from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts. On her day off you will probably find Dr. Ellson spending time outside, especially in the spring. Some of her other favorite things include donuts & iced coffee, playing piano, singing, and spending time with her family (15 nieces and nephews!). Dr. Ellson seeks to help those who do not have access to good healthcare. She has a special passion for Women’s Health, stating she wants to empower and educate women of all ages. She encourages her patients to ask questions and be proactive with their health..


Beth Sanley, M.D.

Dr. Beth Sanley grew up in Seward, Nebraska, “America’s Fourth of July City”. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Sanley loves spending time with her husband, Josh, and their two Labradors, Gracie and Willow. She also enjoys cooking, carpentry, and DIY projects. Dr. Sanley has a special interest in working with patients in hospice/palliative care and values the variety of experiences that training in Family Medicine has to offer

Mark Henderson, D.O.

Dr. Mark Henderson is from Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and went on to earn his medical degree from Des Moines University. Dr. Henderson’s hobbies include volleyball, board games, biking, and playing with his three young children.  When he was kid Dr. Henderson wanted to be Robocop, but decided to become a doctor in order to work with people of all ages and support their overall wellness. One of his favorite sayings is by Russel M. Nelson: “The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives”.


Tyler Stephenson, M.D.

Dr. Tyler Stephenson is from Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. He attained his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Baker University and went on to graduate medical school from the University of Kansas. Dr. Stephenson is an enormous Jimmy Buffet fan. On his day off you might find him fishing, kayaking, watching basketball, or picking on his guitar. Dr. Stephenson chose Lincoln Family Medicine Program because of its emphasis on individualized education and work/life balance. He is stoked to be in Lincoln because he truly believes Nebraskans are some of the nicest people around. Dr. Stephenson plans to work in a rural Midwestern community after he graduates.
