Milly Bhalani, M.D.
Dr. Bhalani was raised in Ormond Beach, Florida. She attended the University of South Florida for her undergraduate degree and completed medical school at International American University College of Medicine. Dr. Bhalani is a world traveler and adrenaline junkie (sky diving, bungee jumping, you name it!). She enjoys talking to a variety of people and believes one of the smartest things she has ever done was learn that it is never wrong to ask for help and advice. If Dr. Bhalani weren’t a doctor she would be a travel journalist. She plans to visit every single continent at least once (so far she’s at 6 out of 7—Antarctica you’re up!). Dr. Bhalani strives to be a caring physician who provides healthcare to individuals across the lifespan and plans to pursue additional training in Sports Medicine. When asked why she chose to complete her residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Program she replied “The faculty and staff are genuine, wonderful people who create an environment that is so welcoming, you can’t help but want to be a part of it”.
Elliot Frank, M.D.
Dr. Frank hails from Montreal, the largest city in Canada's Quebec province. He earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology from McGill University, the alma mater of the one and only William Shatner. He completed his medical training at Saba University School of Medicine. Dr. Frank is a huge fan of fresh fruits and vegetables. He enjoys gardening and urban foraging, distance running, and car mechanics. On his day off you might find him spending time outside, watching the clouds and listening to Miles Davis. Dr. Frank likes to empower his patients and offers this piece of good advice to others: “You are your own best doctor”. After he graduates from Lincoln Family Medicine Program he hopes to find a job, have children, and get a sailboat.
Haroon Iqbal, M.D.
Dr. Iqbal is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University and proudly roots for the LSU Tigers. He went on to graduate from Windsor University School of Medicine. Dr. Iqbal is happiest when he is enjoying good food with friends and family (he loves to eat crawfish with an ice-cold Coke). Other interests include basketball, hiking, and environmental science. One of his personal goals is to see the northern lights (Aurora Borealis) in Norway. Dr. Iqbal chose Lincoln Family Medicine Program for its supportive learning environment. He is a very social person who likes to form close relationships with patients and colleagues. Dr. Iqbal has a special interest in preventative medicine and seeks to promote healthy lifestyle habits in his community.
Daniel Owen, M.D.
Dr. Owen was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a child he had high hopes to study at the infamous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ultimately, he settled on an education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering. He then went on to complete his medical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Two things Dr. Owen loves are science and nature. If he wasn’t a physician, he thinks he would be a park ranger in one of our national parks. On his days off he enjoys biking, soccer, reading, golf, and spending time with his wife and family. Interestingly, one thing on his “bucket list” is interplanetary space travel and he prepares for this future endeavor by marathoning all of the Star Wars movies every year. Dr. Owen chose to go into family medicine so he can develop meaningful relationships with his patients and their families, and provide them with comprehensive health care. One piece of advice he likes to share is, “a good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for just about anything”.
Jesse Dunn, M.D.
Dr. Dunn was raised in Bluffdale, Utah and knew from a young age that he wanted to be a doctor. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah and completed his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Dunn is very outgoing and highly values his relationships with others. He loves spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their three children. His special talents include making homemade salsa and pancakes (but not at the same time). He enjoys the simple things: exercise, good music, extra-spicy Mexican food, and Christmas with loved ones. He strives to get to know his patients well and be there for them throughout life’s ups and downs. After he graduates Dr. Dunn plans to practice family medicine in a rural community.
Audra Kennedy, M.D.
Dr. Kennedy counts two places as home: Hayes Center, Nebraska and Lubbock, Texas. She studied Biology at the University of Nebraska-Kearney and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She was the “mom” of her class in medical school and was known to bake batches of over 300 cookies for her classmates. Dr. Kennedy could not live without her family, which includes her husband and their three lovely daughters (plus two cats and a dog!). Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, and decorating cakes for special events. If she weren’t a physician she would like to be a teacher or a stay-at-home mom. Dr. Kennedy enjoys the variety Family Medicine has to offer. She is particularly interested in obstetrics and pediatrics because she enjoys delivering babies and the continuity of caring for them as they grow.
Gabriel Youssef, M.D.
Dr. Youssef could be described as a “gentle giant” from sunny Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at California State University-Northridge and attended medical school at the University of Medicine & Health Sciences in St. Kitts. He is a proud father and, in fact, points to his own father as his biggest role model (he would not be where he is today without his father's love and support). Dr. Youssef enjoys athletics, the culinary arts, and photography. He is not a fan of heavy traffic (he grew up in LA—he’s paid his dues!) and his favorite thing to do when he gets home is spend time with his wife, Catherine, and their adorable daughter, Juliana. After he graduates from his residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Program he plans to pursue a Sports Medicine fellowship and eventually provide healthcare in an orthopedic setting. Dr. Youssef encourages others to live by these wise words: “Take care of yourself today so you can enjoy the days to come”.
