Our faculty find that the most fulfilling and rewarding aspect of their medical career is in teaching. Maybe you have been in a practice for years and want to transition to academic medicine or perhaps you are coming from an academic setting but are looking for a smaller program. The willingness to teach, lead, and mentor our 24 residents is a priority with all of our faculty.
As a member of our faculty, you will find every day to be different. Some days will be filled with instructing residents in our on-site classroom or treating patients in our clinic. Other days you may find yourself showing a resident how to perform a colonoscopy or rounding on your patients at one of our partner hospitals. In addition, Lincoln Pediatric Hospitalists, Stepping Stones (behavioral health services), and Lincoln Medical Acupuncture are additional services offered on our campus that faculty can refer patients for care. The diversity of opportunities is endless.

Faculty work closely with all types of specialists in the Lincoln area and with the state-of-the art hospitals we partner with – Bryan Health, CHI Health St. Elizabeth, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Many of our residents choose to come to Lincoln for the diverse opportunities of learning that are offered here, including obstetrics, procedural training, and rural rotations that prepare them for practicing family medicine in a rural setting.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to our faculty members.

Includes New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Full-Time employees accrue PTO time each pay period, with a total of 25 days in their first year. This increases by ½ day per year to a max of 35 days at 20 years.

Regular PPO or HighDeductible plan with HSA available. LMEP pays 100% of premium for full-time faculty. Benefit is pro-rated for part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following hire date.
