Aubrey Walker, DO
Third-year Resident

Aubrey Walker, DO, likes being back in her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her Bachelor of Engineering in Biological Systems Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri, which she feels is her greatest accomplishment so far in life.

From an early age, Dr. Walker knew she wanted to become a doctor and to make a difference in the world. She feels Family Medicine offers a wide variety of patients which allows her to practice all aspects of medicine. One piece of advice she has for her patients is that life is short so make the most of each day.

Dr. Walker wanted to do her residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Program because during her visit she felt the most at home. She likes the diversity of the faculty and what they can teach her and appreciates the close knit community among the residents. She is looking forward to working with patients in the clinic setting and continuing to gain experience for her future practice, hopefully in Lincoln.

In her spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with family and her two chocolate Labs, Macchi and Mocha, as well as woodworking, hiking, reading, and visiting wineries. Had she not gone into medicine, Dr. Walker says she might have considered becoming a wedding planner or owning a crafting business.

Her favorite saying: Life is like a camera – focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.
