Luke Blomenberg, MD

First-year Resident

Luke Blomenberg, MD, grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska, where he first saw the real impact doctors can make in people’s lives. He remembers people coming up and thanking his dad, a pediatrician, for caring for their child. That experience, combined with his love of science and history, led him to Concordia University in Seward, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in History, before continuing to receive his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.

Dr. Blomenberg was drawn to family medicine because of its broad spectrum. He enjoys knowing that no two days are the same and being able to partner with patients through education to help them live their healthiest lives. The Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program was a natural fit for him, offering both the chance to practice at the top of his training and to learn from highly engaged and experienced volunteer faculty across many specialties.

Outside of medicine, Luke and his wife, Nicholle, are excitedly preparing to welcome their first child. They share their home with Maverick, their spirited tabby cat. Luke enjoys working on project cars—he’s currently painting a 1970 Pontiac Catalina, playing video games, and diving into history books.
